What Kind of Presentations are Available?
Credit When Credit is Due may be the course for you. Not only does the course make learning about credit issues easy, it can actually improve your chances of getting credit and help you become a successful borrower. You will learn about budgeting and saving, evaluating credit offers, rebuilding your credit, auto loans and leases, homebuying and much more.
Budgeting
A choice of courses, each dedicated to
delivering specific information to
help participants identify current
spending habits, establish a budget
for their current income level, develop
goals for future needs and a plan for
savings. These courses can be presented
in a game format for high school students
or as a lecture or workshop for adults.
Credit
Each course in this series will focus on
one of the following topics:
• How to establish or re-establish credit.
• How to read and understand a credit
agreement when applying for credit.
• How to obtain a copy of your credit report, read it, and make corrections on inaccuracies.
• How credit impacts your life
• Credit identity theft
Each course will focus on the need for consumer credit and offer tips and suggestions on how to use it wisely.
Saving
A variety of courses offer tips and suggestions on ways to build savings and reduce expenditures. Participants will learn how to save money or build savings in the following areas: living expenses, shopping, retirement, college, and for investment.
Housing
A comprehensive workshop, developed by NFCC, is offered to first-time or pre-purchase home buyers. Participants will find out what they can afford in a home, how to initiate the process, and what steps they need to take to make sure they understand the process of becoming a homeowner.
In today’s society, everyone needs to understand budgeting, the wise use of credit, balancing a checkbook, credit reports, credit scoring, money management, savings and the latest information about identity theft. We would be happy to talk with you about an interactive workshop for your church, school, civic organization or community agency. We also facilitate workshops for companies and their employers.
How Do You Request a Speaker or Educational Program?
Call CCCO and ask for the Education Department. Whether you represent a church, school, organization, company or yourself, we will provide you with a list of the curriculum currently being offered to the community. Additionally, we can assist you in determining a topic best suited to your audience. If you are with a school, our programs can be specifically designed for child or young adult.
Your organization may request a speaker from CCCO to provide a presentation to your group. Speakers are available for lectures, workshops and brown-bag lunch programs. Call us to discuss your particular needs.
For the individual or family, we offer monthly seminars at our main location in Tulsa. A complete listing of these seminars is available to you.
Whatever your educational needs, our Education Director will work to accommodate you!
