Bankruptcy Education Fees and Disclosure
Privacy Policy: As per Federal Regulation, The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of
1999 calls for privacy of consumer financial information. Consumer
Credit Counseling Service of Oklahoma (CCCS of OK) is committed to
assuring the privacy of individual and/or families who have contacted us
for assistance. We realize that the concerns you bring us are highly
personal in nature. We assure you that all information shared both
orally and in writing will be managed within legal and ethical
considerations. To assist us in our work with you, our staff may seek
supervision/consultation with professional colleagues within the agency
and, when appropriate and necessary other resources in the community.
For the purpose of evaluating our services, gathering valuable research
information and designing future programs, we may use aggregated case
file information. Your anonymity will be maintained through the use of a
client number or by using the aggregate information in all
circumstances. In all other situations, your data may be released to
appropriate individuals or agencies only with your written request or
when our staff has been served a valid subpoena.
Education Disclosure and Fees: CCCS of OK maintains the highest
standards of quality. Course instructors are all certified credit
counselors through the National Foundation for Credit Counseling who,
after passing six examinations, maintain professional development units
each year in order to keep their certificates active. The majority of
counselors have a bachelors degree and averages 8 ½ years of on job
experience. CCCS of OK does not pay or receive fees or other
considerations for the referral of debtor students to or by CCCS of OK.
Course schedules for those needing the education component prior to the
discharge of their bankruptcy file are offered on the first and third
Tuesday of each month from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and the third Saturday of each
month from 9:00 – 11:00 am at our office in Tulsa. Pre-registration is
required and can be made by calling 800-324-5611. Upon course
completion, CCCS of OK will provide a certificate of completion to the
debtor student. Education courses will be $50 per person which includes
all materials. CCCS of OK will provide services without regard to a
debtor student’ ability to pay and will not withhold services because of
an inability to pay; therefore hardship waivers are available.
- I authorize CCCS of OK to counsel and instruct me on credit and money
management.
- I understand that the decision to implement any suggestions made by
CCCS of OK is entirely up to me.
- I have read and understand the privacy policy.
- I agree to hold CCCS of OK, its officers, directors, agents, employees
and volunteers harmless from any claim, suit, action or demand of any
kind from my creditors, others or myself.
- Nothing herein shall apply to actions or claims under the provisions
of the United Stated Bankruptcy Code, 11 U.S.C.§101 et.seq.
