SENIOR FINANCIAL SERVICE, a unique program of CCCO, provides financial counseling to home-bound seniors and those individuals faced with transportation limitations. Since 1986, this outreach program has served Tulsa's rapidly growing senior population by providing professional recommendations in the areas of personal budgeting, bank account balancing, and other financial services.

For people that are homebound and experiencing a financial crisis, our senior specialist will provide guidance, assistance and referrals. A counselor will meet with you at your home to identify the cause of your financial problems. The counselor will then develop a customized plan to resolve your crisis.

What Information Must I Provide the Counselor?
It will be helpful if you will locate and set aside these documents for the counselor to review:
• All bills and/or payment books.
• Records showing total monthly income.
• Policy numbers and the names of insurance companies, if you need assistance with insurance problems.

You and your counselor may not review these papers on the first meeting, but ready access will make your work sessions more meaningful and efficient.

Your counselor may suggest a call to your creditors to establish workable payment options for you.

The frustrating task of balancing the bank statement with your checkbook can be overcome using the assistance of trained professionals.

What Will These Services Cost Me?
Representatives from business and community service organizations volunteer their time to serve on the Board of Directors. As a non-profit organization, we are supported by the Tulsa Area United Way and tax deductible donations from individuals, corporations and foundations. Therefore we are able to make our services available to you, the client, on a low cost basis. Charges for monthly visits by your counselor are based on your ability to pay. The first visit to your home is at no cost to you. You and your counselor will discuss costs and payment concerns at this first visit. No one will be denied assistance from SENIOR FINANCIAL SERVICE due to inability to pay.
